Asmira performs regularly with SONYC, the unconducted String Orchestra of New York City, as concertmaster and
founding member. Their acclaimed 2007 debut CD “First Takes” on the Albany Records label features world premiere recordings of works by New York City composers Paul Moravec (2004 Pulitzer Prize winner, Composition), Christopher Theofanidis, Lisa Bielawa and Michael Gatonska.

Asmira’s CD “The Australian Album” is a unique recording of works from Australia’s neglected musical past. Most works featured were composed in the 1930s and feature strong European and English influences.
